Aurea Saffron

This saffron is grown, harvested, and prepared on the Wildlands Collection property in Keysville, Virginia—produced in small seasonal batches shaped entirely by the land. Each thread is hand-picked from Crocus sativus blooms, then slowly dried to preserve its color, aroma, and depth. The result is a vivid, high-quality saffron with a warm, earthy character and a naturally rich tone. No two batches are exactly the same. Variations in weather, soil, and timing subtly influence each harvest. To reflect that, every vial is marked with a handwritten batch number—tying it back to a specific moment in the growing cycle. This is not a mass-produced spice. It’s a limited, place-based product—grown in small quantities and handled entirely by hand. Use sparingly. A few threads are enough.
